Spray Coating

Applicable to almost any surface and any shape

Lutze spray coating wear protection solutions

If regular sheeting or lining doesn't work for you, maybe spray coating is what you need. With quite similar characteristics than other more traditional wear protection solutions, spray coatings can be applied to almost any surface and any shape.

Difference between LUWISPRAY and ceramic spray coating

Despite their different material properties, LUWISPRAY and ceramic spray coating are particularly suitable for industrial wear and corrosion protection. Both surface protection concepts are sprayable, 2-component resin/hardener systems that are used depending on the specific requirements. Even very complicated component geometries can be coated using these processes. After special substrate preparation, both products are applied to the surface to be treated using different spray processes.

As a classic polyurea, LUWISPRAY is a flexible, highly elastic product (elastomer).

  • Almost all desired coating thicknesses can be achieved from a layer thickness of approx. 3.0 mm upwards.
  • The curing reaction takes place at a very high cross-linking speed. After just 7 to 8 seconds, Luwispray has a touch-resistant surface and coatings are seamless and crack-bridging.
  • Luwispray achieves good adhesion on almost all surfaces (not just steel).
  • It is a particularly suitable coating for surfaces that are subject to high mechanical stress due to sliding abrasion and are also exposed to high impact energy.
  • The chemical resistance and thermal resilience are comparable to classic polyurethane.
  • Our Luwispray coatings have 2 different hardnesses: 75 Shore A and 85 Shore A.
  • The application is carried out using a special 2-component high-pressure dosing machine and is carried out by our experienced spray technicians in our factory, but also mobile, on site at the customer's site.
  • The spray process and the rapid curing enable a high surface performance and thus a quick re-commissioning of the processed component.

Our ceramic spray coating is a ceramic-modified epoxy resin that generates a rigid, very smooth, non-elastic surface when cured.

  • The maximum layer thickness is 500 µm.
  • The processing time is several minutes, depending on the component and ambient temperature.
  • Coating a surface with ceramic spray coating is monolithic, i.e. seamless and transitional.
  • Ceramic spray coating is suitable for all metallic surfaces and is particularly effective under high mechanical loads, where product adhesion should also be avoided.
  • The chemical and thermal resistance is comparable to classic epoxy resins.
  • Due to its ceramic components, ceramic spray coating has a hardness of 85 Shore D when cured.
  • The application is carried out using a special cartridge spray process and by our experienced specialists in our factory, but also mobile, on site at the customer's premises.
