Belt Weighing

The Lutze Group and Siemens have a collaboration agreement for belt scales and weighing solutions in Scandinavia, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. Belt scales are ideal if you want to know and optimize your production flow, if you need a checkweighing/settlement approved weighing for your end customer, or belt scales can be used for automatic material dosing.

Siemens' patented use of parallelogram load cells results in rapid response to vertical loads, ensuring immediate response to product loading. This allows it to provide exceptional accuracy and repeatability even with uneven loads and fast belt speeds. The belt weight provides indication of flow rate, total weight, belt load, and belt speed of solid bulk materials. A speed sensor monitors the speed of the conveyor belt for input to the integrator. Weighing frames are easily and simply mounted under an existing roller frame. With no moving parts, maintenance is kept to a minimum, requiring only periodic calibration checks.

The belt weighing solution is implementable in existing systems and controls, and it can simply be read locally as a stand-alone installation. If you have several systems running at different locations, they can be set up with additional hardware to deliver data to the cloud, so that these can be read at home or from the office.​

Dansk Anlægsteknik needed a belt scale to be integrated into a new soil treatment plant as they bill their customers per delivered ton. Lutze Process Denmark delivered the solution they required.
