We can offer the following conveyor belts for mining:
- Steel cord belts: Built for demanding applications, these belts offer exceptional strength, flexibility, and resistance to impact and tearing. Ideal for high-capacity, long-distance transport, they’re often used in large mines and bulk handling facilities. Steel cord conveyor belts are available in different cover plate qualities:
- against high abrasion
- resistant to temperatures below freezing
- accepting heavy impacts
- resistant to heat and aging effects
- ozone-resistant
- flame-retardant
- self-extinguishing
- Textile fabric belts: These belts provide excellent flexibility and adaptability for medium-load transport. They are suitable for shorter conveyor runs or applications with more curved layouts.
- Chevron belts: Developed for inclined conveyor systems, chevron conveyor belts are ideal for transporting materials up to a gradient of 45°. With a large selection of different profiles and qualities, we adapt the chevron belts to each individual customer application. In addition to normal quality, we also offer heat-resistant, oil- and grease-resistant qualities.
- Straight warp conveyor belts: Excellent choice in surface mining where low maintenance, low permanent belt elongation as well as strong impact resistance is required. Compared to the traditional multiply fabric conveyor belts, straight warp belts are thinner and lighter, which is why they are energy-efficient and ideal for smaller drum diameters.
- Conveyor belts with breakers: When material falls from a height onto the belt, or when the transported material is hard, sharp, or consists of large pieces, the belt is more likely to suffer punching, tearing, or ripping. To protect the belt reinforcement and consequently prolong its lifetime, different types of breakers are used in the belt top cover. Fabric breakers and especially steel breakers are commonly used. Our LUCON conveyor belts with breakers can be produced in different varieties: different diameters, pitch of steel cords, and different grades.
All of these in different rubber grades:
- Abrasion resistant grades: For different heavy working conditions, aggressive and abrasive transported material, Lutze is offering different abrasive resistant rubber grades in combination with different carcasses. We are offering all standardized rubber grades (DIN X, Y, W as well as ISO H, D and L), as well as improved grades which are combinations of basic standard grades (for example DIN X with improved wear resistant close to DIN W).
- Flame resistant and self-extinguishing grades: In explosive atmospheres, very often flame resistant or self-extinguishing belt grades are required. Depending on the conveyor installation position (above or under the ground) Lutze is offering flame resistant belts for over-ground (surface) mining’s according to ISO 12882 and self-extinguishing belts for underground mines according to ISO 14973.
