Our LUWITAN® plates with and without metal inserts

LUWITAN® polyurethane plates offer an excellent solution for applications where wear protection, corrosion resistance and noise insulation are required. Their properties make them particularly suitable for use in industries, where components are often exposed to extreme conditions.

The ability to offer different dimensions and Shore hardnesses (45 and 95 Shore A) enables a tailor-made solution for specific requirements. Our standard dimensions are 1,000 x 3,000 mm and thicknesses from 1 to 50 mm. Our LUWIREP® repair system also offers fast on-site repairs, which minimizes downtime.

Quality of the components

The right mix of high-quality ingredients is essential for the quality of the wear protection plate. Attention is paid to purity and cleanliness, which is important for the efficiency and longevity of the product.

Manufacturing techniques:

  • Spinning process: This technique is used to produce evenly distributed and defect-free plates with a low tolerance.
  • Table casting (open): A more traditional casting process in which the still liquid polyurethane is poured in an open mold.
  • Mold casting: Here the liquid polyurethane is poured in pre-made molds, which is useful for specific applications or geometric requirements.

In summary, the Lutze Group combines various manufacturing processes to produce a wear protection plate that is robust, durable and designed for the corresponding application.

LUWITAN® wear protection plates

Material guidance

The LUWITAN® material guidance is a supplement to the sealing of transfer and loading points on the conveyor belt. This prevents system contamination and dust emissions. In the hopper area and in the impact zone, the material guide has perforated steel sheet inserts in the upper area and can therefore be easily installed. No perforated sheet is incorporated in the sealing area.

Hopper and container liners

LUWITAN® polyurethane plates are used to protect components from wear, corrosion and adhesion. Thanks to the integrated perforated sheet metal insert made of steel or aluminum, the panels can be screwed into funnels and containers or glued using an optional adhesive layer.

Inner surface coating using the centrifugal process – uniform, resistant, economical.

The coating is distributed evenly by centrifugal force, creating a smooth and durable protective layer. Pipes with flanges or branches can also be coated reliably. The exact layer thickness ensures long durability, protects against wear and improves the flow properties. This keeps the surface free of deposits and the component can be used for longer.
